Rules for learner drivers
Before you start to drive you must:
Hold a valid provisional driving licence for

Any instruction given on a machine that exceeds the normal learner motorcycle specification must be supervised at all times by a certified motorcycle instructor who should be in radio contact. You should also wear fluorescent or reflective clothing and follow all other provisional licence restrictions.
Accelerated access
Riders who reach the age of 21 while still within the two year period where they are restricted to maximum 25 kW 33 bhp machines but who wish to ride larger bikes need to pass a further test on a motorcycle of at least 35 kW 46.6 bhp. They may practise on bikes over 25 kW 33 bhp under the same practice conditions for direct access riders. You will revert to learner status while practising on a motorcycle greater than 25 kW 33 bhp although test failure will not affect your existing licence.
Mopeds and tractors
If you want to ride a moped you can take your theory test when you are 16 but again you must make sure you have a valid provisional licence.
If you are 16 and already have a provisional licence for an agricultural vehicle or a moped this will give you provisional entitlement to drive car when you are 17.

“A new stock FLSTF Fat Boy! My very own. No more renting and longing. No more envying my buddies. No more hitching a ride on the back of my friends bike. Me pumped you bet! Now I want to customize my baby and let her sturt her bells and whistles” I rambled to myself unashamed as I pulled on my chaps and boots.
I took each curve with ease and the thrill of adventure shot through my spine like a freshly released arrow from a tighly strung bow. I was heading to Adventure HarleyDavidson to talk to Glenn about customizing my new Fat Boy.
“Hey buddy How ya doing today” Glenn grinned as he shook my hand.
I love coming to this dealership. The people are genuine here and really love to talk to you. That is one of the reasons I bought my bike here. They are knowlegeable about HarleyDavidson and all of its products. “Hey Glenn! I’m fine. I’m having a love affair with my new bike.”
“Well that sounds normal. It’s a daily happening around Adventure. Everyone has stars in their eyes” Glenn stated.
“I want to customize my Fat Boy. I have some ideas that I want to run by you” I blurted anxious to see all of my options.

Well you would have had to have been there when I met my buddies for a poker run at Adventure HarleyDavidson. Their tongues were panting with envy after I had my accessories installed. I think I saw Bill wipe away a tear as he turned to walk to his uncustomized bike.
